COMPLETE EXPLODED VIEW & PARTS LIST
STEP 1: De-tension springs
Using a 3mm Hex, turn the tension screw (2) counter-clockwise to the last "click." Once the last click is felt, loosen the tension screw an additional half turn. Do not loosen it so far that the screw detaches from the binding tension nut (5).

STEP 2: Insert spring clip
Flip the pedal to the opposite side. Insert the spring clip into the underside of the rear binding in the orientation pictured below. Press firmly to clip the tool onto the binding tension screw (2). You should hear/feel an audible click as it clips into place.

STEP 3: Remove rear binding support plate
Flip the pedal back over. Turning the T10 Torx key counter-clockwise, unthread both mounting screws (9) from pedal body (1). Remove the rear support plate (8) from the pedal body.

STEP 4: Position replacement binding support plate
Place the replacement binding support plate (8) onto the pedal in the orientation shown below. Ensure both spring ends tuck underneath the arms of the plate, and that the countersunk holes of the plate face upward.

STEP 5: Install & torque mounting screws
Ensure the binding support plate (8) is resting completely flat on the receiving surface of the pedal body (1). While holding the middle of the plate onto the pedal body, install both replacement screws (9) until they are snug against the plate. Do not tighten them down completely, yet.

Once both screws (9) are installed, tighten them down in an alternating pattern to 1.5-1.8 Nm.
Important Note: Check that rear binding plate is completely flat on the pedal body & the screw heads are flush to the top of the plate.

STEP 6: Remove spring clip
Remove the spring holder tool from the pedal by pushing it to the side. It should rotate and then detach from the binding.

STEP 7: Tension spring.
Use a 3mm hex key to tighten the tension screw (#2) clockwise until a “click” is felt. This is the minimum tension setting of the binding. At this point you can reset the tension to your preferred setting.

STEP 8: Repeat steps 1-7 for the opposite side of the pedal.
REPEAT STEPS 1-8 FOR THE SECOND PEDAL.
Please note Steps 1-7 will be repeated 4 times to complete the service on 1 set of clip pedals.
Congratulations, you have now successfully replaced the rear binding plates on your clip pedals.
